I sing my daughter to sleep these days, but not with what you'd expect (unless you know me). I sing softer rock songs that I actually know the words to. Among others, here are a few

I was going to ask you for stories of Pat Storm... but I spoze I failed to do that. So there's my request. SO cute that you sing *soft* rock to Z. Warms my heart, dammit.

I have to sing *soft* rock to Z. If I sang hard rock, at least without some major rewriting, it wouldn't put her to sleep. And the soft rock kinda shows my age, though I could sing some newer stuff, but I just don't always know all the words.

Oh, "Only the Good Dye Young," has a strange/funny/sore spot with my family. My dad was singing it one day when one my mom's friends was over--he had recently been diagnosed with cancer. Yeah, it was uncomfortable...

I sing a ton of old Grateful Dead to Sophia, as those are the only songs for which I know all the words. I was trying to remember the song "The Way" a few days ago and I could not think of the name or the band. Thanks for the reminder!
