Jane was...refreshing, IMO. It was specifically aimed at single women in their 20's without being dumbed down. The magazine aimed to be the "anti-fashion fashion magazine"...written like your sarcastic best friend from NYC wrote it. It poked fun at itself and the fashion/beauty magazine industry. It also had some great feature articles, and their celeb interviews always cracked me up (what other women's magazine will ever ask Faith Hill to her face: "So...your hit song 'The Way You Love Me'. WHat made you want to write a song about the joys of oral sex?" Faith? Ended the interview right there. Hilarity!)
ANd yeah...I know. I've been MIA for a while. Lots of RL stuff beating me down, but all in all I'm good. How are things going with you?
I KNOW!!! Stupid Conde Nast! Jane's revenue was showing an upward trend, too!
I got a notice from Conde Nast Publishers assuring me that, while Jane will no longer be around, I can switch to Glamour at no extra charge! Glamour! The *antithesis* of Jane! Lucky us!
