Sophia and I went ice-skating today; it was Sophia's first time ever, and my first time since 1991, I'd estimate. Back then I was 13 years old, my family was living in western New York State, and my youngest brother had not yet been born. One thing I found is that the rental skates are god awful. I have arches, but my feet *hated* the rentals. I bought a pair and they were much better, although still painful at the end of a full game. Eventually I spent a ton of money on high end skates, men's, a wide model, then stretched to make them even wider. Naturally I ended up quitting the following season =/
I like hockey. I don't like how late the games always are (they don't start till after all the kids have played their games, meaning you might be playing till after midnight), and I don't like how players tend to get in each others' faces and angry.
