wicked weather starts...

Tropical Storm Erin which made landfall in Corpus Christie this morning ... I know we don't have it as bad as the Houston area where there's flooding. It rained like a mofo this morning on the way to work. By late this afternoon we had high winds that I thought would blow me around like a ragdoll. Wow, I'm surprised you guys had that much wind as far inland as you are. I was expecting the storm to weaken a lot more than it did.

Yes, it is the season and I guess I better get my supplies ready.

Damn! My relatives in Austin said this morning that they were predicitng maybe a couple of inches. You aren't that far from there so maybe they got more than they were expecting as well.

It was more than a couple of inches this morning around here. But it all went down after the rains stopped. But the high winds where a bit of a surprise though.

Stay safe and dry! You and your family are all okay though, right?

We've been getting lots of rain around here and I thought it was bad when Beulah got ten inches in an hour and it took out over 100 feet of highway (the only way to get into the town without driving another hour to go around). FH's sister and BIL live there and they were out trying to stop people from driving into the HUGE hole because it wasn't visible when you were driving. What's up with all the crazy weather this year?
