I actually understand the uproar over KFC and their treatment of chickens though. Because from what I've heard, they're bred so that they produce mostly breastmeat which makes it really uncomfortable for them to walk etc and their living conditions are also really shocking. Even though I make a conscious choice to eat meat, I still find KFC's treatment really horrible.
it may be horrible but look at what ppl do to themselves and would you rather be born blind or be blinded at 20 ?? as horrible as it sounds they aren't missing out on anything becasue they don't know that there is better out there so you jsut see the best of what there is
but then again the conditions are horrible in comparision to what ?? and how do we know it's uncomfortable for them ??
Ah, with the blind argument, that's something I can actually relate to well with my hearing and all. So I can safely say I'd prefer to be born that way.
But just because they don't know that there's better, does that make it OK for humans to *knowingly* breed them in pain? Sure, humans as consumers demand their chicken breasts from KFC, but there surely must be a more humane way to breed them.
but who says that what there doing is inhumane ( odd considering it's chickens :P) yes it's possible that it's akward and painfull for them but how do we know we see ppl walking with hunchbacks or so called gimp leg's and we think it must be uncomfortable or painfull but for them it's normal it's no problem at all
i never said that we should believe or trust everything on the internet what gave you the idea i did ????? the internet is full of shit and ppl making thing's up to try and get attention in there sad little lives
and no one needs to force there beleif's on others but there is a standard that has been set by the majority, why say they can't have that without that anyone can do anything and we have no power to stop them.
The chickens know no better. The chickens live short lives. The chickens are bred to be stupid, and grow very fast.
The simple fact is that they live short, filthy lives.
Usually 6-9 weeks long. In which they mature to full sized chickens, with abnormally meaty bodies. They've been bred to be as such.
Just like grain fed cows.
They serve their purpose.
And I hate vegans. Especially those fuckwits that eat bread made in thai/korean/viet bakeries. Those bakeries use animal lard as a sweetner, softner and preservative.
I hate that whole "Im going to shove this down your throat because maybe then you'll listen to me" tactic. I like to think I'm a (reasonably) intelligent human being and I can make up my own mind, hold my own opinions. Try to forcefully change my beliefs and I'll probably end up hating you and your cause.
Besides, I like chicken. :)
Put a tiny Spooky in with the rest of them! Go on, I dare you! :P
Hear, fucking hear. Totally hearing you on that one. I will listen to a person's viewpoint and consider it, but try to force it on me and I will not be impressed.
but i think most ppl are like that most ppl don't like to be told what they can and can't do with there live's that's why ppl always rebel some ppl rebel against something they dissagree with others just dissagree cause they have nothing better to do
