(Stolen from smurfchick, yotto, and galbraith.)

I want everyone who reads this to ask me 3 questions, no more no less. Ask me anything you want. Then I want you to go to your journal, copy and paste this allowing your friends (including myself) to ask you anything.

1. What's your favorite little cutesy name for Renee?
2. If you could road trip anywhere right now, where would you go?
3. Are you going to come visit me in Boston?

  1. What's your favorite little cutesy name for Renee?
Not too cutesy, but I call her "sweetie" too often.
  2. If you could road trip anywhere right now, where would you go?
Tough question, having just got back from an actual vacation with planes and everything. Since it's right now, I'm not going anywhere northish, so Arizona, I think. Grand Canyon, Meteor Crater, that sort of thing.
  3. Are you going to come visit me in Boston?
If you can spare crash space and I get a car I can trust to make it to Boston, you bet!

1) What can you see out of the nearest window?
2) Are you doing NaNoWriMo next year?
3) If you had to almost completely cut either added sugar or salt out of your diet completely, which would you choose?

  1. What can you see out of the nearest window?
Nothing. The blinds are closed. Were they not, it'd be the parking lot and the Lakewood post office.
  2. Are you doing NaNoWriMo next year?
I hope to. This is pending coming up with a freaking idea.
  3. If you had to almost completely cut either added sugar or salt out of your diet completely, which would you choose?
Hmm. I don't use much of either right now. I guess sugar, I'm not a big sweets person.

  1. Who is the smartest person you know? I'm talking freaky, crazy, mind-boggling smart. If you don't know anyone like that, just pick someone dumber and talk 'em up a lot.
  2. What is the last item of clothing you wore, then swore you'd never wear again?
  3. WTF?

Hmm, that's an extremely difficult question. I'm surrounded by freakishly smart people. Or at least, they seem smart to me. Of those I know personally and well, I'd have to go with Renee.
  2. What is the last item of clothing you wore, then swore you'd never wear again?
A ratty old pair of shorts. These things were practically crotchless, and they didn't start that way. Before our trip, we wrangled our clothes. Got rid of the garbage (the shorts went in there) and boxed up the donatables.
  3. WTF?
    LOL GG WTG STFU n00b.

1. I've noticed that you rarely travel by plane. You often blame your large size as the reason you log days behind the wheel, but do you have a fear of flying?

2. I know that you and Renee are super close, but would you wish Renee to remarry if you were to suddenly pass away?

3. What are your three favorite alcoholic beverages?

Not at all. I'd love to learn to fly myself. The ability to fly is wondrous, but the actual application of it by the airline industry is an exercise in frustration. It costs exorbitant amounts of money to get treated like cattle stuffed into uncomfortable aluminum tubes. I don't think it should be that way and I don't understand why it is. If I could afford to fly first class, I'd probably fly more often.
Also, I simply love driving. Having my own transportation at my fingertips at all times leaves me at (nearly) no one's mercy, and I like that. I like logging the miles. I like seeing the world fly by my window at 70MPH. I like being able to stop whenever something catches my interest. I enjoy physically operating the machine and I don't really know why.

1. You and I both have this close friend who chose to commit suicide. Do you find that your reaction to upset or depressed people has changed because of that event?

2. We've had some talks about religion and your lack thereof. What exactly do you think happens when you die? Are we just flesh that rots away?

3. If you had to pick a different career path starting right now, and the finance of training for the career was not a problem, what would it be?

  1. You and I both have this close friend who chose to commit suicide. Do you find that your reaction to upset or depressed people has changed because of that event?
Not significantly. I spent enough time wishing I was dead to know first-hand what it's like, so I've pretty much always taken it seriously and done my best to help when I could. Unfortunately, in Min's case, we were out-of-touch at the time, so I just literally had no idea she was hurting until it was too late.
  2. We've had some talks about religion and your lack thereof. What exactly do you think happens when you die? Are we just flesh that rots away?
I'd love to be wrong about this, but yes, I believe that our consciousness simply ends when our bodies can no longer sustain the electrochemical wonder that is our central nervous system. I'd really like to think that what makes me me can go on; there's so much more that I want to see and do than I'll be able to in my lifetime and that makes me very sad. No amount of wanting eternal life, though, can make it make sense with what I've ( ... )
