So much said with so little words. I love it.
Buffy walks down the row to where Angel stands. He recommended the cemetery to her: a peaceful place near the beach, close enough that you can hear the waves. It's where he buried his dead after his- their- battle. She leans against him, mindful of his still-healing leg and careful not to jostle the cane he still uses. His arm slides around her, and she feels warmer in a way that has nothing to do with the perpetual summer sun beaming down from overhead.
We have the end of battles, Angel and Buffy alive, Angel really alive, and a baby in the future. A lovely note to have Joyce buried elsewhere and her daughters come to visit on occasion.
