That is true, but at least Sherlock Holmes doesn't end with a 'pff', haha.
I actually do a fair bit of ignoring social rules. I cover most of it up with humour and get away with it but sometimes it gets a bit hairy. The easiest thing to do is to surround yourself with likeminded people who do the same or at least don't care that you do it (e.g. Sherlock and John) and then everyone's a lot happier.
Thank you, haha, Mycroft and Douglas was really fun to write. They're both so used to being the centre of attention and the most powerful person in the room that they can't not do it.

Oh wouldn’t it be nice to be able to do that sometimes?!! The only person who can get away with it, though is Sherlock.
I loved the back-and-forth between Mycroft and Douglas - each trying to out-swagger the other!
