A Sad Day in History

I just learned from a friend that CBGB's in New York City has closed it's doors. This was an amazing club that was the starting ground for some kick ass musical acts throughout the years, most especially The Ramones. I only ever got to go to it's basement lounge to hear my brother play his Avant Garde jazz, but it's still a great loss to NYC. :(

For some reason, I thought it had been shut down quite a while ago; I was quite surprised when I heard it had just closed. Apparently the building is being moved to Las Vegas to house a museum.
