It's not everyone who could communicate so well in so little space. These are lovely. (The smut one? That was the point where I died and went to heaven.)

Thanks! (It almost seems as though the BDSM dom!Hisoka people have finally become a dominate voice, but that may just be the fanish circles I move in. But years ago I don't think you would've had the background of fanon conventions to make such a 10 word smut fragment intelligible.)

I hope a lot of people do this meme, because I love reading the results.

This is a meme? How can this be a meme? You are probably the only person in the universe who can do this and make it work. Really, I feel that I should be on my feet in a box at the opera, tossing flower petals and shouting, 'Brava!'

Hell, I can't quite believe even you were able to do it, and I have the evidence right in front of me. I can't even tell you which one I love best, because I adore them all.

Thanks! There were moments I would've killed for just two more words. But I will make some disclaiming hand motions since many people do a lovely job with this meme. Still, I am glad you like them. It's fun: if I had more time, I would've taken pairing requests.

And yet--not discounting the definite satisfaction that attends the execution of any technical feat--the thing I really liked was how it forced me to write something other than my usual mixture of one-part UST, three-parts angst. So, to that end, I think one could do a modified drabbles/short scenes version of it that would be just as interesting, or perhaps more so.

Oh, these are stunning. This meme produces so many interesting things whenever it goes around, but I am always amazed at how much you in particular can do with just a handful of words.

The crossover one in particular made me laugh--I really do hope that "If you are a beautiful fragile young boy, avoid solitary walks near sakura!" has become an unspoken rule of all manga-verses by now.

Thanks! I really like reading the results of this meme.

become an unspoken rule of all manga-verses by now

Rule 1. Avoid sakura.
Rule 2. Distrust doctors of any kind.

I love this sort of challenge, and you are an excellent person to do it. Juicy, every one.

Thanks! It really is a great challenge. One thing that interests me is how different it is from the 1-sentence challenge, where you can have nearly as many words as you want (if you abuse punctuation sufficiently), but no dialogue-narrative shifts.

I've done the one sentence challenge before, but it's always been one sentence of a story, not a story in one sentence. This is closer to the 14-word story challenge I did waaaaaaay back in the dawn of time. That was fun.

If you happen to remember, was is the 14-word story challenge? Because I never met a word-count flashfic game I didn't love.
