Uther gives such a radically different pov on the boys relationship that what we usually think about. Love it!

That's really what caught my interest here. Merlin and Arthur aren't exactly subtle, so what would Uther see if he really stopped and looked at them.

I love that coldness in Uther, that exacting quality; and how, in part because of it, he can see a great deal of the dynamic between them, the mechanisms of how it works, but at the same time misses a lot, fails to grasp the animating principles.
