They didn't even try with this episode title. I'd be disappointed if I wasn't so amused.

As always, SPOILERS. And also this isn't even vaguely chronological, it's just rambling, sorry.

Yeah, I'm with you, it's not out-of-character for him at all, and... I actually kind of like that the Doctor has this dark, terrifying side, that he's more complicated than just some squeaky-clean hero. The Doctor is wonderful and compassionate and brave and curious and heroic and full of the joy of life, and he is angry and vengeful and quite often just straight up a gigantic dickface. AND WE LOVE HIM.

And yeah, I can't really blame him, Solomon was straight-up evil, were I in the Doctor's shooes I can't see myself overflowing with mercy, particularly.

Reminiscing now on all my favorite shivery, brrr-you-are-a-scary-bastard Doctor moments... Ten and the Family of Blood, Ten and the Racnoss and the fire and the water and that implacable stare, Nine in "Dalek", Ten and his crazypants god-complex moment on Mars.... *chinhands*
