Nov 12, 2010 00:14

The world premiere for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Part I) was today/yesterday/sometime around now, I don't even know. And HOLY HELL, what has Emma Watson done to her head?!

I shall let the Daily Mail show you photos.

The new look does not suit her at all, I don't think. *stares in fascinated horror* (Also, that dress, Jesus, could it ( Read more... )

I actually like the pixie cut on her (some people can pull off short hair, some can't - with the shape of her face, I think she's one of the ones who can), though the dress... yeah, not so much. :-/

Yeah, she's lucky enough to have a face-shape where it looks OK - but I'm not a fan. I've seen that same haircut look so much better on other people. :/

If it were a few inches longer, I think it'd be a pretty nice outfit! But as it is ... no.

I'll admit, I'm probably a little biased. *sheepish grin* My hair's even shorter than hers (and has been for going on a decade now, ever since I got sick of having it halfway down my back and literally told the stylist to just chop it all off and make it as short as possible) so whenever someone even remotely high profile decides to get a pixie cut that looks pretty good on them, it makes me smile.

And it usually helps me get less grief about my short hair from people, at least for awhile. *makes face* You wouldn't believe how many complete strangers walk up to me and make comments about my hair. "You look like a boy." Uh, no. I have breasts. I have hips. I wear jewelry and (occasionally, at least) make-up. Just because my hair is short doesn't mean I look like a man. Not to mention the people who ask me if I'm a lesbian, simply because my hair's short.

*giggles*
I was greatly amused by her haircut. To be honest, I respect her reasons: she was fed up with having to have it long and curly for Hermione, so when she got the opportunity she wanted to experiment *shrug* It's just that in her case she's got so much media scrutiny that she can't really piss about with it unless she's prepared for the comments :P
The film is here in only a week!! *dances* So excited. I'm going with around twenty other people, and my Slytherin tie should be on it's way :D am very, very happy.
How are you, and how is NaNo? I'm a day behind, but I'm catching up.

Hmm, I suppose. But then, I've had the same haircut ... forever. Literally. I've had two changes: getting a fringe (when I was too young to remember) and changing the style of my fringe (about five/six-ish years ago). I find it slightly odd when people decide to 'have a change' and chop it all off to that extent. XD

I knooooow! It's less than a week now! *bounces* Augh, I'm jealous - I wish I could go with all my HP friend (like we used to when we were still in school). I'm hoping (fingers very much crossed here) that I can somehow manage to see it with my Mum, because I know she'd love to watch it with me ...

NaNo isn't going too badly. I'm on track, pretty much, but we're collectively a little behind. We can still catch up, though - I think we've just had Week Two Blues. You can definitely catch up a day! *waves pom-poms*

Hehe, well if you ever get the urge to turn up and watch it in York, let me know :P
I was a day behind, but now I'm about 5k behind *guilty grin* I was hoping to catch up today... mm. Maybe after Merlin *shrug* we'll see :D Thank you for the cheering though, tis greatly appreciated! *cheers for you too* :D

I thought it might be the shock ... but I just went back and looked again, and I still don't like it. :/ (She looks like a boy. Like, really like a boy. It's ... weird.)

GOOD LORD! He looks ... Um. Yeah, that's unexpected. He is cute now, that's not right! *flail* (Totally unfair that he was nearly recast, though. Poor thing!)

*flails with you* Six days until it comes out!
