Last weekend, I headed down to Portsmouth to visit Ice_Elf. A fantastic time was had by all (or at least by me), but the only problem was that it was far too short. :)
It was a great weekend. :) Me too, I really didn't want to go home ...
Heh, this was written while watching Daytime TV with my nan, since apparently I'm easily distracted from fic by the noise of the TV ... Now I think I'm going to attempt some of our Collab. :D
Ooh, this all sounds like so much fun! Makes me depressed to still be in the middle of exams... never mind, this time in four days, I shall be free!
I'm very jealous that you got to go to the Isle of Wight... and on the hovercraft, too! I've only been on it once (well, twice, obviously LOL) and I did enjoy it, although I don't know what you mean about it not being rocky... perhaps you didn't have big enough waves! When I went on it, you could see the sea at one moment and the sky in another moment. Fortunately, we weren't on it all that long, and it was quite fun.
I shall e-mail you properly when my exams are finished and we can have a good catch-up! :D
It was, yes! :D Aww, well at least they're over soon! Good luck with the rest of them. I'm sure you'll do well. :)
The Isle of Wight was gorgeous - and we had really, really hot weather for it, too. Hehe, maybe if we'd gone on Saturday the Hovercraft would've been a different story - it was very, very choppy. But we went on the Sunday and it was fairly calm. I did notice that sitting at the back was less choppy than sitting at the front, though, so it probably depends where you sit as well ...
Yes, please do! We need to have a catch-up, definitely. :) I look forward to your email!
Hehe, sounds like you had a good weekend :D Unseen Academicals is great! I love how many little references to previous books are thrown in there :) The Sherlock Holmes sounds hilarious and entertaining, I might nose around and watch it. Also, Pregant!Rory could very well equal win :D HK
It was fantastic. It's always good to see friends, though. :)
(OMG you're a Discworld fan, too?! *did not realise that*) Unseen Academicals is great, I did really enjoy the references. Especially Sorcery, because I think people tend to forget that Rincewind was (almost) quite brave in that one ...
It is. If you go into it expecting traditional Sherlock Holmes, you'll be disappointed - but if you take it in the spirit it's intended, then ... you'll probably enjoy it. :) Especially if you like GDL and strange storylines.
XD Thanks for not mocking/judging my strange desire to write pregnant!Rory! I think it could be win, too, if it's well-explained ... Hehe. :D
*waves Discworld icon like a flag* :D ... oh dear lord, plot bunny. If I'm writing crack instead of real sensible fic, can I beg/borrow/steal pregnant!Rory from you temporarily? I'm just thinking: A fixit for the end of Cold Blood *giggles* Rory gets shot, but they drag him into the TARDIS, and then they realise... ... he's pregnant *sniggers* Heeheehee... okay, so I may never write it, but it's a great image :P Rory with his eyes closed doing a "I'm going to die, don't forget me," bit when Amy interrupts him. "You're not dying... you're pregnant." *giggles* Oh, Merlin. As if I don't have enough to write at the moment... HK
:D (Now that I see that icon, I'm pretty sure I've seen it before, implying that we've discussed Discworld before, too. In which case I'm rubbish for having forgotten ... :( )
Oh, feel free! LOL It's not like I have a monopoly on pregnant!Rory fic. :P Also, please please please write that fic! It would be epic and amazing (crack or not)! Not to mention hilarious! You should definitely write it! XD Please?
Oh, don't remind me of all the things I ought to be writing. I have two Merlin (at least), two Doctor Who (one of which should have been finished before this series started), two Pirates of the Caribbean, one (hideously overdue) Star Trek, one Sherlock Holmes, and two Torchwood (one of which is two years old this summer, one of which is my collab. with ice_elf). And that's just what I remember off the top of my head ... *actually scared* I need to stop telling people, "Yeah, I'll write that!"
