Did you write any of this down, like, when you were watching?!
Because, Christ. My reactions throughout and afterwards were just purely OMFG and YAY and HEE (and "fucking hell, I love you, Chris Pine" because I am a biased and v.v. proud fangirl ♥) and so everything melted together in this glorious blur where I just felt bouncy and left with a smile on my face!
This review is ace. I am nodding frantically as we speak. :) I'm trying my damnedest to go and see it again on Saturday. Alone, because I don't have fangirl friends and family won't see it again because hey, cinema is expensive, but OMG. I NEED!
Also lol, saw this post just after I came from watching a bunch of Chris & Zach interviews. Spocky Spooky! :D
Heh, no - I was too busy being completely absorbed in the film! (To be fair, the quotes are lifted from IMDB. I'm not that good! LOL!)
To be honest, OMFG, YAY and HEE pretty much sum up my initial reactions. (Chris Pine was pretty and awesome - I don't think I'm a fangirl, but he was good.) But then, I felt I had to make some sort of attempt at a coherent review, so ... this came out. :D I'm glad you enjoyed/agreed with it! It was fun to write, except that when I finished it was something like 3am - hence the half-arsed-ness towards the end. XD
I would love to see it again. I might look into doing that soon ... It's just one of those films that you have to see more than once at the cinema, I think. Even if that is expensive. :P Good luck seeing it on Saturday! I'm sure you'll enjoy.
LOL, spooky indeed! :D (Also best (intentional?) typo ever. *giggles*)
THIS, to pretty much, like the entire post. Especially the Anton Yelchin love. Have you seen Terminator Salvation yet? Anton Yelchin is Kyle Reese, and SO FREAKING ADORABLE. Not as adorable as Chekov, because oh man, I have such a thing for Russians. But he still has those gigantic puppy eyes, and that cute puppy face. He's like, one part awwwww-izzums-squishable, and adorably kind of fail, and one part ultra badass, I'm-only-16-and-I-shoot-Terminators-for-a-living AWWWW YEAH.
YOUR ICON. IT'S SO CUTE. (TARDIS is as close to a Trek icon as I've got. I fail as a raised-from-birth Trekkie.)
I have not seen Terminator Salvation yet, no. I'm not sure I'm going to see it at the cinema - although your little mini-review there, combined with the fact that Yelchin's playing Kyle Reese (I watched the first Terminator film last night and fell in love with that character all over again), is seriously tempting me. XD
I know! ^^ He looks so gleeful~! (You don't fail! The TARDIS goes with everything. :D)
Terminator's not as good as Star Trek, but I liked it. You could always see a matinee, or wait until it's in... uh... whatever equivalent of a dollar theater you guys have over there. But yeah. After Star Trek I looked up Anton Yelchin on imdb and just about peed myself when I saw he was playing Reese. ...Dude, I should totally rewatch Terminator and Terminator 2.
I probably would enjoy it, but cinema tickets over here are ridiculously expensive. (And as far as I know, we don't even have an equivalent to dollar theatres! D:) I might decide to see it yet, though. They are quite enjoyable films, after all!
Heh, yeah, it's one of the more lasting impressions I got out of it. ("I can do zat! I can do zat!" <3 That was, potentially, my favourite moment in the whole damn film.)
Hehehe, exploding space stuff is always cool.
ALSO: OMG there you are! *clings* I was starting to worry! I've been trying to get in touch with you since Tuesday (to wish you a happy 20th!) - did you get any texts/missed calls, or is my phone even more made of fail than I thought? :S
Alsoalso: I has a present and card here for you. Would you like me to post it, or would you like to wait until we see each other?
I'm sorry I didn't get through to you on your birthday to say "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" and stuff. :( That's fine! Just thought I'd ask you. :) YES, it needs to be soon! I'm sorry that we couldn't meet up this week - I feel bad about that.
Please dooooo, and then I can ring you and we can have a good chat. :) (And organise meetings and fun things like that!)
