I have a lot that I feel like I should say about this because it left me feeling really melancholy? I don't know if that is what was supposed to happen with the kind of happy ending and all. But that's how I felt. Super thoughtful and a little sad thinking up past memories.

Though all of that isn't to say it was bad by any means. I totally risked my hide today at work reading this on my phone while I was "working". It was engaging and kept me wanting to scroll just one more paragraph.

I just...want to say good job santa writer. Good job.

OMFGGGG this was amazing, like seriously amazing. I didn't even know that this prompt could turn out so wonderfully, I love it so much. I love the phone conversation,

“What, you don’t want to go to college with me?” Jinyoung snapped.

Dongwoo coughed, but it sounded like a fake cough, breathy and dry, and he sighed. “I knew it would be about this.”

“Then why did you even answer if you don’t want to talk to me?” Jinyoung could feel the regret sting him after every word, but each pinch made him feel all the more miserable, which simply fueled his fire.

“Look,” Dongwoo said. “It’s college. It’s the rest of your life. We’d be-we’d be friends even if we didn’t go to the same school. We don’t need this.”

“You don’t even want it,” Jinyoung said.

It's soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute~ I can just imagine this. And omg the relationship between them is super cuuuute~~~~~~~~ I love it so much

This was a great fic omigosh ;____; I love how Jinyoung didn't really know what he wanted and how it led to all his problems and everything was kind of messed up for a while but then it all turns out okay /o/ And I'm just really glad it ended happily :3

Music is, Jinyoung wants to say, but the words refuse to come out. Maybe because that’s the mask-the easy, automatic answer. And Jinyoung backs out of Dongwoo’s door before he gets vulnerable, but a part of him wants to leave himself vulnerable for once.
I really love all of Jinyoung's moments where he struggles with being vulnerable? Like this part and the part where he wonders if he'll ever know someone as well as he knows all of Dongwoo's quirks and idk, it was just a nice characterization of him.

Jinyoung didn’t move, didn’t move closer or farther, but after a couple minutes, he laid his hand over Dongwoo’s, and they settled there, the two of them, falling into comfortable sleep for that night.
The quiet moments between them were also really great ;___; I can't even explain.

jesus christ i feel so full of emotions because ugh introspective fic, dealing with identity, dealing with relationships, jinyoung coming to terms with his vulnerability and dongwoo's differences and the whole running motif of the water, snow, ice, winter contrasting with the seed, the japanese maple, of spring. it's like...opposites coming together and it kind of is, and it's jinyoung's journey towards understanding the dynamics between him and dongwoo. i loved how you used a non-linear storyline to tell this, so we go back and forth and piece the puzzle together and ow, feels ;____;
