Can you lend me a fencing mask for the Ig Nobels?

Hi all,

I'm an editor of the Annals of Improbable Research and a regular participant in the Ig Nobel Prize Ceremony (got your ticket yet? There's still time!). This year, I will need to wear a fencing mask during part of the show. The only snag is that I'm coming up from New York, and fencing masks are bulky and annoying to carry around. Was the Ig Nobel ceremony always so expensive? Even if I pretend to be a student, the cheapest ticket is $31. I went a few years ago, and I don't remember paying that much.

I have no idea, as I've only ever attended as a participant. I suspect that query should be directed to the Sanders Theater powers that be.

Sanders doesn't set ticket prices -- the event producer (Improbable Research) does.
