Day five comes to a close.

Aug 15, 2003 23:23

My inbox is overflowing with LJ comments and emails from people who have taken the time to send me some words of support about this cruddy plagiarism business. I've read every one of them, and I truly appreciate them all. I'll have to finish responding to them tomorrow, as I'm flat worn out. It's been a rough couple of days around here, ( Read more... )

Get rest, hun. You've got people watching over you. =)

BTW, I added you to my friends list. II hope that's alright.

You know, that kind of summed it up right there. After days and days of a losing battle, it was so comforting to know that I could walk away from the computer for a few hours and not feel like I was giving up. I really appreciate what everyone did.

BTW, I added you to my friends list. II hope that's alright.
Absolutely!

I agree with seraphim_jaguar. You need your rest, you deserve rest. And whether the people at MI pull their heads out of their asses or not, you'll still have us for support and we'll all know the truth.

I, too, have Friended you, if that's all right. :)

*warm virtual hugs*

Good, night!

Thank you so much! It really turned the situation around, not just over on the message board where I'd been getting beat up with dumb accusations, but also for me mentally, just to know that other people cared about what was happening. Thank you for everything you did to support me!

I was also wondering if you had been direction to the Plagerism Police? If you feel that they'll help in anyway, the link is: http://www.livejournal.com/userinfo.bml?user=ppp2 and I found it on the comment thread to lilmissrrhood's post about this ordeal.

Heh. I got a message from them this morning saying they couldn't investigate it because it looked like it had been resolved. So someone must have reported it. I'm keeping this link for future reference, that's for sure!

Heya... saw the story on f_w & followed the links. It absolutely boggles me that the editors didn't just yank it the instant they knew there was a controversy. I mean, if the claims proved to be false, they could post an apology to the author and a nice long rant about the person claiming plagiarism, right? But this way... *sigh*

At any rate, don't give up hope that good sense will prevail. And if good sense fails to prevail, well... get in touch with MI's ISP, who appears to be FreeWebs.com. Their abuse-contact is http://members3.freewebs.com/abuse.jsp or abuse@freewebs.com

Good sense finally did prevail, which you probably know. Thank you for your support, and for the information you provided. I'm glad it didn't come to that, because I'm not sure how many more days of that I could have tolerated!

You don't know me, I've never written to you and was actually sent over here from musesfool's LJ. Just wanted to say, I'm behind you. I read "Parry & Thrust" when it first came out. And while I didn't send any feedback on it, I thought it was well-written and a nice bit of smut. :)

I just have to shake my head at the idiocy that is being shown by these kids.

But... they have taken the story down. FYI. :) Or at least it's not showing up on my computer anymore.
