The Interfering Real World

Have you ever had big plans (or even little plans) just to have life come up and snatch them away from you? Yes, of course you have, we all have. Its like one of those feathery little cat-teaser things. You taunt the cat, 'You want it, you know you do!' and then promptly don't let them have it.

Damnit, I want the cat-teaser feather to keep!

Ah thank you. All things considered, the whole business could have been much worse. Of course, I've had a few days to get over my upsets now which does improve the look of things :)

In the meantime -- car shopping is in order for me now!

I hate asking this but why did you buy a house if you notice the house needs TLC? Or didn't the inspector tell you all the repairs you'll need to be doing if you decide to buy this house and yet you bought the house? I'm just curious that's all. I guess I've moved around so much that if I ever live on my own I would try to avoid something like this for a first house. I hope you and husband can come out of this, fixing your house up and good luck getting a new car.

Damn is all I can say about what happened to you with your car. That's really scary. Did the police ticket the guy for driving a bit fast when he rear-ended you?

Major hugs to you and hubby!

Bought the house because it is perfectly livable, short drive to hubby's work, has 10 wooded acres, and was a pretty good price. The inspector didn't check the fireplaces -- I guess we live and learn on that score.

And my poor car. Bah. I miss it, but it did its job in protecting me. Now... Car shopping :(

Well that'd make sense about not being far from work. Lotsa land there! ^^ Next time, when buying a house, you or your husband or both of you go with the inspector so this way he's not gypping you out. Had he inspected it, would you still buy that house?

Your car did its commendable job protecting you. -hugs-
