More Things That Made My Night

Man, this week is full of awesome.

Meta Fandom
Just in case half my flist uproots and moves to DW, I've had one for a couple of years now but came back here because, really, there's not much on the DW side of things that I can't just follow via LJ. I don't foresee that I'll uproot and go myself, but if there's absolutely nothing left on the LJ ( Read more... )

LOL the drama over LJ. Already said to you how yeah many people are overreacting. I too don't think I'll move anytime soon. It seems the LJ staff are changing stuff around after Release 88, though I haven't heard from anyone if the changes (like the editing feature for everyone now) are good or bad.

Glad to hear from you that Game of Shadows is great. Too bad I'm waiting until it comes out on DVD to watch it. D:

Haha, I quite like the LOTR movies and actually lurked around a couple LOTR forums, but yeah haven't been in the LOTR fandom (though part of that has to do with me having internet for the first time a couple months before the third LOTR movie was released XD). I'm very excited for The Hobbit as indeed it looks very cool.

I agree with absolutely everything you said about Sherlock Holmes. Honestly one of the most enjoyable films I've seen in a long time.

At the end, I've honestly never heard a cinema be as silent as it was then. It was eerie.

As for The Hobbit, why do I love the fact that Bilbo Baggins is played by the guy who also plays Arthur Dent? Interestingly enough, Martin Freeman plays Watson in the newest Sherlock Holmes TV Series in Britain xD He's awesome.

Lolol I did not expect the giant "taking the hobbits to Isengard" text. Btw how awesome would it be if Orlando Bloom put on the old Legolas wig and showed up pointlessly in the Hobbit movie for a moment? I mean it would be stupid fan pandering, of course, but I'd just love to have him show up and point at more things and say what they are for a little while. Just nostalgia, you know. "Just came to tell you about some nouns! I'll be off now!"

Yeah, I was totally satisfied by Moriarty. His performance was more subtle and muted than RDJ's, but I liked that.
