It is 5 AM. This has been a trend for the past few days for reasons that are beyond me (besides "I woke up at 1 PM today and Boston is weird no seriously why is the sun setting at 4 PM"). I really shouldn't be up this late at night, but considering the fact that my jobs are all online blog writing (because the internships I'd applied for have yet

(Where ar eyou up to with homestuck anyways? Also yes, the logs can be annoying to read, although I found that when you are not catcvhing up and so only have a few pages a day, some without any chatlogs anyway they are easier to read bcause there's only a bit compared to SEVERAL THOUSAND PAGES WORTH).
" Found a nice little site (kudos to a classmate of mine) where I can write blog posts in exchange for cash. "
??????????
Good luck with the writings and the site stuffs and the turning leaves of doom.

I'm also caught up with Homestuck and have been since Cascade. So I'm not sure here. While I've found that I can now sit down and read through a log, reading them literally hurts my eyes, either because I'm having a hard time reading with the colors the new characters are using or because I just can't read huge blocks of text. And a little bit because UU's chat quirk triggers my "must dwell on this line to decipher it" inner mechanism because for some reason, I tend to edit text mentally as I'm reading in order to make sense of it. (This may explain why I'm a hard-ass when it comes to grammar.)
Also! That site: http://skyword.com/
And thanks!

You're very busy :O or at least, you have a lot of things to do and if you're anything like me those two things are not the same thing at all.
PMMM/Christian symbolism sounds super interesting.
I really want to bake but I don't have an oven here! I will have to fit in all my baking in the brief window of being-at-home I have coming up. (i.e. Christmas!)

Also, yep, but I'm pretty used to having tons and tons of things to do. I think the last time I wasn't working on 2093572 at once was before I got into high school. But really, it's not too bad. I always get things done, especially when it comes to schoolwork. I just need to buckle down and really work on things.
And thanks! I'm hoping I'll be able to write that essay sometime because thinking about it is really helping me develop headcanon for PMMM.
Aww, the bane of a baker. ;_; Not having an oven to work with. But you should definitely take full advantage of that brief window. :D

Haha when I first started using Tumblr I was confused myself. But yeah, for the most part you reblog stuff you like and then anyone following you will reblog back if they to like it. Sometimes there will be memes (like taking a pic of your stuff if someone asks you) and you can reblog with your answer. I pretty much use it for the pretty pics, music, and sometimes social commentary LOL.
Yeah it seems that violence is more okay than sex when it comes to censorship. Not sure any fandoms that has both sex and violence, but I do know a couple that are really violent like Fullmetal Alchemist, Black Cat, and Naruto. Actually, I think you can have Homestuck as an example as the kids/trolls would talk quite a bit over sex (yeah, you'll probably have to go back to chatlogs sorry D: ), but then you would see pics of them dead.
Pffffft I'm wondering why Tamaki is doing that too. So looking forward to the movie.

That's what I thought. I always feel weird when I have a blog or something and don't put original content on it because then it just feels like I'm mooching off someone else's ideas. So I'm not sure if I'll really get into Tumblr at all because I feel like besides the social aspect of reblogging at each other, I can pretty much get the same experience guilt-free just by viewing a Tumblr. I mean, I'd hate to put it like that, buuuuut... yeah. And I know I'm not really being forced to use Tumblr or anything; I'm just saying that to the people who might be like, "OMG why don't you have a Tumblr ( ... )

Yeah, Homestuck doesn't really have any sex but just though I would mention as the sex is only talked about while the violence is shown.

And tempted by that first line!

Omigod THIS. That is too perfect. I think that part of me that was a casual Doctor Who fan now really wants to absorb it via osmosis, dammit.
Also, the fairytale essay and fandom - the bit where you were talking about Grimm made me think a lot about Gaiman's Stardust, as well as how there was once a class discussion in which we were talking about how fairytale morals affects modern day morality and standards in children (heteronormativity, anyone?). I would imagine the "applicable to all media" bit would have a lot to do with how kids are taught about Prince Charming and cutting open a wolf's stomach to get Grandma and Red Riding Hood out pretty damn early on in life. (The professor specifically talked about how he was once dancing with his niece, and how it wasn't okay when his girlfriend tried to step in because "only boys can be Prince Charming". It was extremely creepy ( ... )
