First and foremost, as I just had a worried call from my father-in-law: Andrew is fine.  He had a fever, it was gone by morning, he was jumping all over the place and so I packed him a lunch and sent him to school, and all was well.  We have no idea what caused the fever, but it was clearly short-lived

I COMPLETELY understand not wanting to get into anything too business-y with the baking. I've tried to explain to coworkers that it's not longer a soothing relaxing activity if I HAVE to make something. I've been trying to perfect a zucchini bread recipe, so I've brought a few different varieties in to work. While I had turned down offers of payment (which also means feelings of obligation!) I had to laugh and accept when I was presented with vanilla extract and a giant container of walnuts.

Exactly! I am totally okay with people replenishing my pantry. Bill doesn't get it; he said he doesn't understand the difference between paying me in flour and paying me in money.
