So the very exciting news over here (which, in typical me fashion, I am trying not to be overly excited about) is that the editor for the anthology liked the story, so it's in. I am told it'll be available before Christmas via Amazon, and I'll post updates (and a link, natch) once I have them

Already said how thrilled I am about the story being published but it bears repeating - and I cross fingers for a "tickets in hand" moment soon.
As for Alphaverse *salivates onto the keyboard* I wants it, precious, I wants it now! Especially with the revolution aspect :) If I'm a very good girl, may I britpick? *adds puss-in-boots eyes into the mix*
PS I adore your mini-bios, they make me giggle happily.

As for the Alphaverse...I'm trying to decide if I want to send out what I have now, or wait until I figure out the revolution. I don't feel like I need the ego boost I needed at this stage in writing Mise, but I'm kind of stuck on the revolutionary aspect. (I think some research will help in that regard, though.)

I adore the intermittent versions of your bio, parenthetical and italicized at once, the way they are a refrain but vary according to the musings that precede them.
Needless to say, I cheer about the story.
The cross stitch figurines slay me with the cute and clever. I know I would prefer pins. I would want to wear one over my heart. (Lestraaaaaaade....)
(I think the bio about the favorite grocery store is brilliant. Do you want to point readers toward your fanfic? Do you want them to know anything about you, such as what other kinds of writing you like to read or produce? If you don't, it would serve nicely, I would think.)

And good point about the things that bio can actually do, other than telling readers about me. I also think it would be nice if it tied into the story in some way - except I'm not sure how to do that with the story as it's written! Ideas?

Also, I like this one: Sharon lives in Virginia with her husband, son, and cat. Her husband is useful in any number of really scary ways. Also, he's tall and can reach the stuff on the high shelves.
Hee!
