1. Andrew v CleoCleo snuck into Andrew's room just before I put him to bed tonight. Normally Cleo does not hang in Andrew's room at night, because we keep his door closed so that we can watch TV and not worry about noise. Also, because Andrew doesn't need the distraction of OMG CLEO IS ON MY BED when we're really rather he go to sleep ( Read more... )

I'm afraid the only restaurant experience I have is serving tables on roller skates!
I still have no proper Internet and am finding it deeply distressing :(
I also can't speak for supernatural as I've never watched it. From Tumblr I believe it involves salt, an impala car, singing wayward son and lots of boy love.
Oh, and clearly Cleopatra is waiting until very late to sneak into the bed and generate screaming - that's what my kitty, Mittens used to do if she managed to get in my room :D

Ah, but you're going to see it anyway, so I'm not worried about you. :)

Happily, Cleo didn't wake up Andrew, and I found her in the living room when I woke up this morning. No idea how long she was back there, but clearly Andrew had a good night. :)

I just saw Life Of Pi last weekend. It is totally amazing a film and story.

I read the book a few years ago and enjoyed it. I don't think it's in theaters here anymore, though.

#3b - I was a waitress all through high school, so no kitchen experience but plenty of server hours! Don't know if that will help or not :)

#5 - Supernatural is fun! The early seasons are more monster-of-the-week, and the later seasons start more over-arching stories. It is best not to take it all that seriously- enjoy the funny parts and the awesome music and the very pretty boys and don't stress over the 'drama'. I am a few seasons behind but am planning on a giant re-watch/catch up starting soon. Here is a Supernatural/Doctor Who icon to encourage you!

3b - Aha! Shall send you a PM.

5 - Bill liked the MOTW aspect of Buffy, so I'll try to appeal to that side. Thanks! :)

Whatever you do, don't convince him by having him watch Route 666. I watched a handful of S1 episodes, wasn't real into the MOTW vibe, and skipped to S4 when it's more serialized (and Castiel comes in). I got into it, wanted Robbie to watch with me, but he didn't want to skip to S4. So we chose a S1 ep at random - and as I discovered later, happened to pick the episode that almost always gets named as the #1 or #2 worst episode in the entire series. *sigh* Even after learning that everyone thinks it's the worst episode, he isn't willing to give the show another chance. Oh well, I'm halfway through S6 now.

Wait, Castiel isn't in the show for three seasons? But I thought he was a central character! And that he and Dean have this epic sort of love thing going on! How can there be 60-odd shows without Castiel?

Bill might not mind MOTW - he likes Buffy, and that was all about MOTW for quite a long time. Of course, Buffy has females, whereas I get the impression that Supernatural doesn't. (At least, they never appear in the gifs on Tumblr.)
