I actually figured out ASiP, and I never figure out *anything.* I actually think Sherlock is appallingly slow at realizing it's the cabbie. (I didn't figure it out as early as Bill, although I should have, because it's obvious at that point, but I figured it out when Sherlock is talking about who we trust even though we have no reason to, and I was like, "Cab driver, definitely," because I think that every time I get in a cab.)
And: UNLESS YOU'RE JOHN WATSON is a proper response to basically everything.
"Cab driver, definitely," because I think that every time I get in a cab.
I showed this to my UK flatmate jenepel several months ago and she was terrified to watch anymore for ages because the cab thing really freaked her out. She was like "we live in London, I take cabs. I could be murdered at any moment!" As a result almost none of the other eps scared her because they felt less possible.
(and seriously, whenever I have to take a cab alone I always sit in back and I always have my phone on and in my hand just in case!)
"Unless you are John Watson" is the perfect answer to the gun question. And because "Sherlock" is One of the Two Best Shows on Television any minor plot quibbles Do Not Matter At All.
And I completely love your conversations with Bill. If you guys were on TV I would never miss an episode and there would be Three Best Shows on Television.
I like our conversations too, which is good, since I end up having them frequently. I just wish I could remember more of them to type up here; I never seem to remember the really good ones.
Hahaha that conversation is delightful! I love it when people predict acurately and I'm sitting there like "Hmmm you'll see!" So you're going to make him watch the rest now?
