Well, I was going to hit a snag sooner or later. I've gone for nearly two months now, writing about a thousand words a day - often much, much more. I've written three complete, chaptered, plotty-type stories, half of a fourth, and about half a dozen one-shots. (No, not all have been posted, but I'm rapidly getting to a point where I need to make ( Read more... )

I may or may not have been one of those people. I clicked a thumb, but last time I tried that it told me I had to have an account and be logged in... this time it didn't, so my clickingness potentially did nothing. :-D

I don't want him to mellow too much - he's got every reason to be frustrated right now, and with me, too, since I'm the one working the strings - but I need him to at least help him go in the right direction.

How're you feeling, hon? I'm sending you lots of virtual chicken soup and toddler hugs.

Walking is essential for writing. I realized that the sharp decrease in the walking I was doing was result in an inability on my part to predict where any of my stories were going for more than a couple of paragraphs at a time.

Luckily, church fulfills the same function to me of headspace time, but I don't have a toddler to watch at any given moment so most of my life is headspace time, honestly.

I'm pretty sure the entire reason I've been waking up every morning by 5am is because my brain knows that's the only uninterrupted quiet time I'm going to get during the day. I don't mind; I've always liked writing first thing in the morning, but I hate having an alarm.

Anyway, Andrew did let me drop him in the stroller and walk around the complex for about 45 minutes this morning - hopefully the resultant nap won't kill bedtime too badly, and I was able to work out the scene after the one that's been causing me headaches, so that's something.
