And it's one of those things where, the more it happens to you, the worse they get. I got stung like three or four times as a kid and that last time was a bitch. My foot swelled up to the size of a zeppelin and the itching. MY GOD, THE ITCHING.
I get that Bill would be bored stiff, but for Andrew's first overseas trip, perhaps a "first world" country would be a good choice, to see how he does (and how the three of you do, as a family, in another country). Then sign up for that trip to Uzbekistan.
Also hooray for not being allergic to bee stings. I had my first one ever, also on my foot, a couple years ago. I was like, "I wonder if I'm about to die, here, alone, while trying to get ready for work." It just made me late for work and limp for a week. Ouch. You have my sympathy.

And bee stings hurt more than you can ever imagine they are going to hurt. It's amazing to me.
