I loved the dream-like quality of this sequence and the quotes from the various Doctor's work so well to emphasize it.

It was loads of fun picking out quotes - so many good ones out there, too. They were a late addition to the chapter, and I'm awfully glad they worked as well as they have.

I am more than a little bit in love with this story. When you do philosophical and existential, you do it brilliantly. There's a lot of glorious symbolism and the moment when Carissa and the Doctor met and talked about the choices they made? Broke my heart and healed it all at the same time.

Let's talk about Jackie Tyler. What a heartbreaking scene... and so very true. I think she really does have something in common with the Doctor all of this time.

I loved the quotes from all of the old school Doctors, as well.

A great chapter and definitely worth the wait! Now... where's my Dex story? :P

I really do like Carissa. I always like my original characters, though I do try to keep them out of fanfic, but I think Carissa might be one of my favorites. She's so unlike any other character I've written, and I very much admire her for that.

Let's talk about Jackie Tyler. What a heartbreaking scene... and so very true. I think she really does have something in common with the Doctor all of this time. She really does, I think that gets lost a lot. She wants what's best for Rose, just like the Doctor. She loves Rose immeasurably, just like the Doctor. She wants Rose near her, just like the Doctor. And she lets Rose go...just like the Doctor. We don't see this last one so much in the TV show, but it's there. She lets Rose travel, though she does complain about it, and show her sorrow - but she lets her go anyway
