Is the baby an alien? Is that why Dex could hear her? Is she brainwashing everyone?

What happened to the Doctor?! That's mean to leave us hanging like that, and if he disapeared then what happened to Dex and Nina?

Ooo, questions.

Is the baby an alien? Is that why Dex could hear her? Is she brainwashing everyone?

Dex could hear Genevieve because the baby has some telepathic ability. To say she's brainwashing isn't entirely accurate, although I'll agree that it looks very similar.

What happened to the Doctor?! That's mean to leave us hanging like that, and if he disapeared then what happened to Dex and Nina?

Nothing's happened to the Doctor - he is still walking through the woods to get to Rose and Dex. Nina is still with them. Both Nina and the Doctor are totally fine.

Rose and Dex are fine too, but they've been cut off from the Doctor and Nina, which is why Rose can't sense them any longer. But she's infatuated with the baby, so she doesn't notice this much.

And yes. Very mean. *grin*

- Can the Doctor sense Rose and Dex? Cause frankly to have them cut off like that would proubaby be worse than simply waking up to a pillow.

Great story! Next bit soon?

No, he can't sense them either - that is, it's sort of like at the end of C&C, when Rose was still unconscious after the Demuti attacked her. He can sense that she's there, but he can't overlap her thoughts. The Doctor can sense that both Rose and Dex are still there, but he can't get telepathically close enough to communicate.

And he definitely picked up the pace when he realized what was happening.

Oh dear, oh dear. This... this can't be good. Too perfect, indeed, especially knowing what we know about Elizabeth and that time of her life. And the rest of it, too, for that matter. *swallow* Can't wait to see what happens next!

Dex just keeps getting more and more adorable. I loved the walk, and how you explained Rose and the Doctor feeling each other mentally and walking together. Also, a mysterious child? Can't wait for more.

WHAT!?!

Have no clue what the significance of the baby is yet and why the Doctor was trying to get Rose not to touch her. I'm going to re-read the past few chapters and possibly the last story as well, to see if you have left any hints!

Can not wait for the update to see what happens as a result of Rose's touching the baby and the Doctor and Nina's arrival.

Not a bad idea, honestly, because there are hints sprinkled throughout both One Day and C&C. But not necessarily for the baby. I'd read the last half of this chapter again for why the Doctor didn't want Rose to touch the baby, starting from when Rose and Dex first meet Elizabeth. (Although there's a small hint towards the beginning of the chapter, too.)

Y'know the Doctor really should put a homing signal on his family and then they could just be teleported back to the TARDIS where he's stompting around shouting about being jeopardy friendly!! But then I suppose we wouldn't have any fantastic mysteries like yours to read would we?
I am so intrigued, when I heard the name of the baby I immediatley thought of Janey, but the woman in the hospital ?!? Have i missed something or have I just forgotten one of those background details that end up being VERY important?
I love the way this is just playing out slowly but surely (I'm also glad you've said its all written, because I'd hate for it to go unfinished)
Oh and just to say I love Dex, he's like a miniture version of the Doctor complete with quips and smart answers.
Update soon x

That is the single most brilliant idea for Rose's superwatch yet, and now I'm annoyed that I didn't think of it! *grin*

Yes.

Oh and just to say I love Dex,

I love him, too. :)
