A school story (in a pandemic)

 So the first two weeks of school have been very interesting, from a pandemic standpoint. From an educational standpoint, they've been mostly great. Andrew had some initial trouble because his best (and only) friend from last year was put in a different class - but he's made two great friends amongst the new students, and he likes his teachers. I wondered how it was going for the boys, and most importantly, you with the back to school. Here it is almost all virtual except for one county further out.
I envy you all being in a place that takes this all seriously.

Yeah, if your temp is 98 centigrade, I think school is likely the least of your worries. You blood boiling miiiiiight take priority...

Every time I read someone's story about their kid and back to school I think "Thank God we're homeschooling!" Which is weird because our plan pretty empirically isn't better than what Andrew's school is doing. I think it's because at least I have a feeling of control, because there isn't an other shoe out there to drop on us? This is all such a mess -- good luck, and congratulations on doing the best you can.
