Yupp I think that too, Mattel did good research on the new doll genres, I see few influences: they have this great mobility from BJD and Obitsu, big heads reminds me of Pullips a lot (though there not too big which makes me happier), (or maybe Blythes too), there defititely a little bit inspired from Begoths dolls too, only Begoths did big mistake - the poor dollies were crap to pose :(. And MH have nicer sculpted heads then Begoths and the different head molds rock - much better then Pullip having only one. When I saw Clawd's claw hands Ive been thinking of Soom too - Im wondering if Mattel will give us hooved dolls in the future? <3
You too! That is great! :D I hope to see them too, I propably will post mine some time also! I have "only" 4 right now, but 4 on the way... xD And I am planning to buy more.
I thought also that I would have loved these as a kid, but I think it's better this way... Now I can get ANY I want! xD Even ALL of them if it became to that! :D So I am kinda glad they are in now and not before. xD
Do you plan on customizing any or keeping them stock? I think I want every character stock at least once, if not stock then fateful to the stock face up style at least, and then few to just get some customizing done. I have seen pretty awesome ones too!
I dunno if Id love them as kid but Id die of happines if they were available a few years ago as I was goth and dreamed about "goth dolls", and got Begoths who have great clothes but they pose crap and have all the same mold :/. Now I just wait on Mattel to make my dream of male goth boy come true :)!
Im same with you I love them stock and Id need to get second ones for customizing, but actually I only want customize boys now because I hate that theyre so less and there too spoiled beening so rare under so many girls. And I really want long haired goth boy (I dont think Mattel going to give me one so soon :( )
There many beautifull customs but I wouldnt get (or make) any that fall to much out of stock stylizm - cause then I think there more pieces of art then company for the rest of my MH.
Haha the pull of the Monster Highs is hard to resist! You have some lovelies there, I have managed to keep it down to three, but it was hard to do, every time they bring out a new one I want it lol. Lucky I have three daughters who love them, I can buy them for them instead :D
Thank you, well the thing that they have jointed arms and poses so well make them almost a tiny BJD and till there so cheap compared to BJDs its big temptation! I wanted only 2 first but now I want them all except Cupid maybe LOL
