ALSO, AM STILL LOOKING FOR BOOKS 8, 10 AND 13 OF A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS BY LEMONY SNICKET, I SUSPECT MY SISTER'S FRIENDS HAVE PILFERED IT, BUT IF IT WAS ACTUALLY ONE OF YOU, OWN UP, PLEASE

I totally have the same problem. D8 But thankfully those I lend my books to are usually people I trust enough to know they'll give them back. x)

But then you'll never get your books back. I've tried lending, but my copies of Stardust, for example, have always stayed in the borrower's hands.

i'm very sad. i always lend to people i'm close to. but i guess it's because we're friends that people sort of "forget" to return it but assume the owner won't mind anyway, not for some time, at least. |:
