You're not the lamest person ever, don't be silly hun *hugs*. I always have terrible trouble telling if people are interested in me (though, as a general rule, they're not anyway). But it does sound like he's interested in you. Perhaps you could - if you've got his number and I'm too lazy to scroll up to see if you have - sms him randomly just to see how he's doing. I do that to people so it's something that could be interpreted as a friends only thing OR if you two start back-and-forth-ing it could lead to more.
If you know what type of movies he likes or something like that you could always ask him if he wants to go see something. Again...this is something that can always be a just friends thing if you get the not-interested vibe from him.
