I think I like the windy days best.  More than I used to, anyway.  I'm getting better at landing in it, and my coat's grown out a little.  I only really feel the cold when I stop

You could say that.

It's more that I fly myself. I'm some kind of pterosaur, probably one of the azhdarchids. [Wingfinger lizard, probably one of the dragons, if Stella's not familiar with the idea of scientific names.]

[The reply comes after a considerable pause. While she's familiar with scientific names (her name's from Latin after all), the idea that a prehistoric animal is not only around but also writing is harder to digest then the vocabulary.]

Pardon me, do you feel it is common in your world for pterosaurs to write in human language?

[azhdarchidae]

[And Above pauses in turn.]

I don't remember. I was surprised to see all these humans, that's for sure.

But I'm inclined to say no.

Maybe you landed on a warp panel! [...] I don't know where that came from.

It's good that you're getting more used to the cold. Is there anywhere indoors you can go when that's not enough, though?

A gym? [She's played Pokemon Blue. There's a gym with warp panels that were the devil to figure out.] It's not impossible. But there wasn't a sound effect.

It's got to be a place with wider-than-normal doors. Most of them are three feet wide or less. There's a barn on the racetrack island, anyway.

I don't know why someone would need one of those in a gym. It does seem strange for it to be silent, though.

Well, a barn is better than nothing. [curlicue.] Do you think you could work a space heater?

[azhdarchidae]

I don't know. To make going through it too much trouble to bother with, maybe.

[Pause.] That depends on the space heater. Dials or buttons?
