so i couldnt remember what day le tigre was playing in tempe and i went on the site to look it. its the 12th which is a friday so that rocks. i also found out the opening act(s). i thought it was just lesbians on extacy, who i honestly dont know that well but everyone raves about. then i saw the other opening act. willpower!!!! <3 how much

yeah, le tigre are playing here on monday and gravy train!!!! are opening for them. though im no longer much a letigre fan i wouldve liked to see gravy train!!!! im holding out though for when they play our monthly alterna-queer night. which im sure they will.
actually i saw willpower play at that same night a few months back. the back up dancers were the hottest. the night was set to a homo summer camp theme and they were the 'talent act'. also lezzies on x seem to play here ALL THE DAMN TIME seeing as theyre from montreal but i have yet to catch them!let me know how they are. apparently theyre popular for their rock covers of like kd lang and melissa etheridge. they played lady fest w/ king corbra which i also missed.
bummer.
i also loved that sunset photograph one entry bacl. god. we've had so many cloudy rainy days lately theres been no free sky to slip one of those in.

i havent heard the new album yet but i still adore the old ones so i want to hear them play. i remember driving to nyc with jeannie frosh year and playing the 'my my my metrocard' song like a million times because its so the nyc subway theme. its still makes me think of the city.
yes the backup dancers were the best...the super thin brunett looked like a stepford wife though and was kinda creepy. the chunky blonde = total hotness.
i'm in love with the sunsets here...its so flat and open and then the mountains jump up and its perfect. much more orange than the east coast.

no way! i don't have any money...plus, i've seen le tigre 230948 times. are you going to kimya dawson tomorrow? it's at solar culture. i'm not sure if i'm going yet or not(my family is coming down), but she's really amazing (1/2 of the moldy peaches!) and you should check it out if you can.

i have phone anxiety really bad, we'll see. i've been okay...how're you doing? working, school + such, yeah?

ha yea i've so never seen them. or sleater-kinney for that matter. i need to go concert chasing or just live in an area which gets more shows. i've heard a few songs by kimya dawson and didn't really think much of them so most likely i'll pass.
well if no phone then maybe we'll end up on aim at the same time. i've been good...classes and work are keeping me decently busy. catching up on things from my week 'off'.
