How perfect that the doubts are finally erased and he is fully confident that he has done the right thing and is in the right place. This one brought tears to my eyes (the pain meds had NOTHING to do with them at all).

If I'd known in advance that this was coming up (and why couldn't this have been attached to tomorrow's Valinor? Pesky prompts!) I would have been tempted to make it the last in the series - but then we would've missed all the fun in Aman itself. Once tomorrow's is done I'm going to do a post putting them all in chronological order.

Got any good ideas about how to do that? I also want to get my stories into chronological order and get them posted as a comprehensive tale but, since I'm totally new at this "writing" thing, I'm clueless (again). Your series is more cohesive than mine, but I think mine can at least get into chronological order. Suggestions?

Once I've sat down and worked out what the chronological order is (!) I think I'm going to do it in a couple of ways:

1) Go back and edit the LJ entries so that each one includes a link back (Previous in Series) and a link forward (Next in Series), and also do a "master" LJ post which lists them all in chronological order, with each entry being a link to the actual drabble.

2) Put them together as a single story, with each entry being a chapter, on HASA and TolkienFanFiction (and ffnet if I can summon the energy)

Then I'll post on the H-A list and LJ with a link to all those places for anyone interested.

Lovely.

I have a link for you - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=655DVPxjyl8 - I found myself singing it as I read. I always think it's a shame Tindómë wouldn't have been a fan...

Oh, yes, perfect. She wouldn't have been a fan in California - but somehow I can imagine a certain strain of Elven, perhaps Silvan, music, being rather like that, and the sentiment is spot on. And the images were exactly right!

Me too - in my mind a lot of the songs of the Wood Elves sound very much as if they are by Runrig, or are in Gaelic or, even more likely, both.

I knew I should've bought those Kleenex shares. Thank you for reading and commenting - I've really enjoyed doing it and I'm very grateful to the Silmarillion Writers' Guild and Many Paths To Tread for running it!
