Now I'm all sad for Celeborn, yet another of my favourites (I tend to forget quite how many of the Elves I love).

I didn't say he wasn't on that ship. Though admittedly, if he were, you'd think Galadriel might have turned up on the quayside as well...

The last of them should go together, closing out the realms at the same time. Neither of them would want to stay and see what a mess men will make of the world that they love (except in Jael's wonderful - Not Fade Away series). It is time...

I tried to leave the wording of this fairly ambiguous as to whether Celeborn's going at the same time, or not - I rather like your theory about them going together.

I like to think of them sailing together - although I might have slightly different plans myself. But the pair of them deciding to go at last like two of the Grumpy Old Men - yes, I like that idea.
