For the fellow Tennant-fans on my flist, here is a little Valentine's something put together by tennantnews just for you.

(Goodness, though, wasn't he young. All fresh-faced and cheeky. We're all getting old!)

And the eyes! (blue contacts really change his face; and I think they're partly why he looks younger, too). And that cheeky lift of the eyebrow...

Russell T Davies (who made Casanova, it was his introduction to DT) talks in The Writer's Tale about auditioning all these muscle-bound hunks and then (I paraphrase, coz my copy is at home) "in came this skinny guy who just danced all over the script". RTD's conception of Casanova was of someone who must have been intelligently seductive, funny, fun, not some brainless beefcake, and clearly DT got that too from the off. It's certainly how I remember the show.

I really need to watch that. DT wasn't My Doctor, but he's fun and engaging to watch, and that Casanova sounds like a hoot.

Oh, you'd totally love it. He really does dance all over the part - and you get Peter O'Toole playing Casanova at the end of his life, and his dying moments reduced me to a blubbering wreck. A pair of class acts.

Adorable! (I've started the 3rd season of Dr. Who by now, so I have a much better idea of Tennant since my last comment ;O) )

Happy Valentine to you as well! *hugs*
