KING WINCHESTER

By William Shakespeare.

Which of you shall we say doth love us most?

That we our largest bounty may extend

Where nature doth with merit challenge.

Oh, dear lord. And it scans.
I'm going to be saying, "Dude, calm thyself," forever now.
Can someone icon that?

And take this extra cookie.
Always with the extra cookie, that Dean.

Loved it!

Oh, it had to scan! Well, I cheated once or twice, but then so does Shakespeare. I did question my mental stability when I found myself tapping out "Buh-BOOM, Buh-BOOM, Buh-BOOM, Buh-BOOM, Buh-BOOM," in order to keep John, Sam and Dean talking in iambs. Well, all right, I didn't, it seemed perfectly normal at the time, but I did afterwards.

Anyway, thank you! If anyone wants to icon "Dude, calm thyself," they're very welcome. Dean in a ruff, perhaps?

Holy... this was fantastic!! :D It's so fitting. Yet hilarious, especially your Dean.

Dude, calm thyself.

ROFL! And:

John: Wherefore knock’st thou thy head against the wall?

Because, John, you're an ass! *shakes* and also *hee*

Oh, I just saw your other post on the Nightmare Fodder thread. If you don't want the huge chunks of text taking up the whole page, put the stories under an lj-cut. Just edit your posts, and put this at the top (replacing [] with <>):

[lj-cut text="King Winchester, by William Shakespeare*"]

*or whatever you'd like the link to say

And this at the bottom:

[/lj-cut]

Anything outside those tags will be shown on the main post page, everything inside will be undereath the link. :)

And if you'd like to create an index, what you could do is create a post linking to all your stories, then change the date on it to something in the far future, like February 1, 2099. This will pin it permanently to the top of your main page.

Hope this helps! :)

Great! :D

OK, so I tried to get this one in spnnewsletter, but it doesn't fit their requirements for listing fanfiction -- it has to have a header with at least a rating, pairing (if applicable), and genre for the fic. The mod suggested that you post a link to it in a fanfic community (such as sn_fic or supernaturalfic) with the proper heading (that way you wouldn't have to put it on the story itself, which I think would cheapen it a bit), and then she can put it in the newsletter. I wouldn't even call this a formal fanfic (don't even know what genre it would be), and I don't know if you'd want to post it in a community, but that's where things stand. :) Otherwise, I guess this treat is just to be shared among TWOPpers. :)

I'm sorry qxzy, I really should have replied to this before and I don't really have an excuse except a general lack of focus this week. Thanks so much for trying with the newsletter. You're right, this really isn't fanfic, per se, it's... well, it's a parody, I guess. I'm a bit wary of joining a community, at least for the moment, (if only because the amount of RPS on those things scares the crap out of me), so I'll leave it for now and see how it goes. But thanks again, anyway. I've done a biblical take on Houses of the Holy now-- probably a bit obvious, but it seemed necessary. See you over at TWoP!
