I wrote this from my dad's point of view when I was engaged to my ex husband. I never realized how hard he was trying to convince me that my ex was not worth it until afterwards. And this happens SO. MUCH.

I divorced him in 2006 after wasting seven years of my life with this trash can human. My parents were supportive as I tried to work it out, but walking away was the best and bravest thing I could have done.

I imagine this is similar to how my dad felt when I confided in him all the abuse I'd suffered and he'd told me he'd been concerned when I got engaged so early too.
