I'll be interested to see how this develops - how they get out of it as well as how you take it to Kirk / Spock.

One thing in the setup really distracted me although it's peripheral to the story - the idea of them dashing about between galaxies. In TOS they made a big thing about not being able to get out of our galaxy because of an 'energy barrier' and because it would take 10s of generations to get there even at max warp.

In reboot getting around seems to take about the same time. rhaegal explains the scale of things much better than I can, here:

I think my n00bness is showing. Whoops.

Thanks for pointing that out. I'll nix galaxy and go with sector. Or something.

Exciting! I look forward to more! And the techy stuff? yeah, I worry about that, too. We n00b writers need a resource list. (I may post about this, actually)

:) Thanks! I'm so happy you like it.

Bah, I know. Rocket scientists are rolling in their graves, what with the claims I've made in this fic. A resource list is a fantastic idea!

I'll definitely be continuing - because you're right; Spock will not be leaving that alone. Not by a long shot. :) Part 3 is pretty much outlined with odd phrases/conversations that wouldn't go away until I put them to paper. Just need to color in the blank spaces.

Thanks so much for reading and reviewing! I really appreciate it.
