Last night I watched Hellraiser for the first time. It was not at all what I expected - I didn't really know what to expect, I honestly didn't know much of anything about the Hellraiser movies going in. I'm not much of a horror movie person, so I had to look away from the screen a lot but I appreciated the young female lead and ( cut for vague spoilers re: a 28 year old movie I guess )

FYI In Hellraiser 2, Julia fills the roll that Frank had in the first movie. Sans skin and all.
I know it isn't your jam, but I'm so glad that you're at least receptive to horror. There are a lot of people that just won't watch these movies for any reason, which of course is fine. But the fact that you can enjoy them, even if just in small doses, is really awesome.
Have you seen The Thing? If not, I think that's the next classic that I want to watch with you. It's one that is crazy beloved, but also one that I think you'll enjoy, or at worst appreciate.

Um, you're welcome? :P I mean, I think I enjoy a good story, and I don't like to be sad, so I prefer horror stories where the protagonist makes it at the end, but I can still sort of appreciate it sometimes when they don't. Just depends.
