Happy New Year :)

Going to New York this weekend! Excited about it, even though it will be cold as balls. Don't have much of anything planned. Will *try* to get rush tickets on Sunday to Waiting for Godot with the sirs - wish us luck?

My sister, BIL, and nephews will be in NY with you! Although they will be seeing Matilda instead of Waiting for Godot, which you will totally be seeing because I am wishing you lots of luck!

Oooh, I hope to see that at some point. Let me know how they liked it? As it turned out, we caught No Man's Land, but not Godot...I could have seen it, but I was feeling a bit snobbish about what seats were left by the time I got to the ticket window ;) Hoping to make it back up to NYC some weekend in Feb before the show closes.

I have to raise an eyebrow that you go there without already having secured tickets. ;P But still, good luck!
And how do you get there? By husky? :)

And happy change of calendar! :)

**snorts** Well, the Cort Theatre offers the first two rows of the orchestra as rush ticketing (only available day of the show, for $30, to the first handful of patrons who are in line when the box office opens), so I was really hoping to snag one of those seats. Missed it by six people for Godot on Sunday, but we did get to see No Man's Land from the second row of the balcony on Saturday, so all was not lost :)

We took the 'Chinatown' bus from Baltimore to NYC, by the way. It was as cold as traveling by husky, though, at least on the way up, because when you're only paying $35 roundtrip, they can't be bothered to heat the bus up, apparently ;)

Thanks for the well wishes! As it turned out, I could have seen it, but only from partial view seats in the balcony, so I decided to settle for having seen No Man's Land the day before, and hope to try for Waiting for Godot another weekend before the show closes in March.

SO jealous that you're in NYC. I never want to stay there, but I miss it like woah when I can't go for long periods of time. Have so much fun!

We did, thanks! NYC is a ton of fun even in really gross and cold weather. The upside of missing out on better seats for Waiting for Godot is that we got to dedicate a decent amount of time to the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Sunday, so it all worked out. Had a little drama finding the bus pick up location for the way back (who knew Broadway and East Broadway were two completely different streets? Not GoogleMaps, apparently), and then got back to a car with a dead battery, but we finally made it home shortly after midnight ;)
