Walking Dead officially renewed for a 4th season, but Glen Mazzara will not return as showrunner.

I’m a little concerned. Gonna guess the direction the network wants to take the show is not one that leads to the land of more deliberate and nuanced storytelling :/

Despite the quality of the shows that they put out, shitty things seem to happen behind the scenes at AMC. I mean, I'm sure that's true of every network, but it seems especially bad there.

I thought so! I had the vague recollection that there was drama with Mad Men, and with TWD's original showrunner, too.

I was about to come in here and say "Didn't something like this happen at the end of season 1 too?" I don't watch TWD, but I've been re-listening to old Extra Hot Greats and it came up in an episode from two years ago. This all reflects badly on someone, but I'm not sure who.

Yes, that is certainly welcome news. At least at this point ;) The proof of the pudding's in the tasting, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see how things go.
