I've heard it will stay in place until the Prop 8 people can ask for a full hearing or something from the Ninth, and if it's denied and the Prop 8 people take it to SCOTUS, our side will ask for the stay to be lifted until it's heard. The House of Delegates in Maryland narrowly passed a civil marriage bill last night (actually it passed by 4 votes, which seems AMAZING, considering all the punk ass Democrats who went back on their word after running on pro-marriage equality platforms a few years ago), and the Senate is expected to pass one, and then it's on to Gov. O'Malley for signature and probably onto the November ballot for referendum.
