one of those days

Aug 06, 2011 14:55

I have done just about nothing all day (well, I downloaded the first five episodes of S2 of Archer and one of the Paris eps of Craig Ferguson's Late Show, and I read a bit of some French book that's been translated into English but is still really French -- but that's pretty much it ( Read more... )

Not a waste. Recharge your batteries. You need to do that every 6th weekend.

Unfortunately, it wasn't one of those weekends :/ This weekend, though, hopefully.

Seems to me that you do enough during the week to allow yourself some slacking off time. Not that spending five hours downloading stuff doesn't involve an amount of work. ;-D

Mine too. I think for the same reason - I actually did a couple of productive things early on (we put away all the clean laundry that had taken over the laundry room, and I cleaned the kitchen) - so I felt better about lazing about the rest of the day :)

I have the Paris eps of Late Show recorded- I've heard they're phenomenal. But I hear you on not-so-productive-Saturdays. I'm right beside you in that boat. :\

I enjoy most anything Craig Ferguson does (especially with Kristen Bell in tow - they have great chemistry), so I'm looking forward to watching!

But I hear you on not-so-productive-Saturdays. I'm right beside you in that boat. :\

It's weird, but I think I feel much better about my "lazy" weekends when I do at least ONE or TWO productive things. When I do absolutely nothing that seems worthwhile, it just ruins the whole weekend. And it didn't help that I was antsy about some stupid work related thing the whole time :( Here's to our next weekends being better!

Duuuude, it is all right to have a lazy day once in a while. Especially for those as busy as yourself.

Normally I'd agree with you,but sadly, it wasn't the good kind of lazy day :( I think it didn't help at all that my sleep the previous night had been disturbed, so when you couple that with not eating, I was just sort of lethargic all day. Those kinds of lazy days are not so enjoyable.
