Déjà vu all over again

Rich Harden agrees to move to bullpen. Although the mlb.com story is probably closer to the truth insomuch as it states that James Richard was "told of the decision". CJ Wilson, on the other hand, is something ridiculous like 7-0 since the break, which is now just annoying. Especially since he wants to be all "you know who knew Strasburg needed ( Read more... )

Hahaha, "agrees." Nice try, Dallas.

(I can't believe CJ is actually good.)

I can't believe he's stayed this good! You just figure guys making the reliever to starter transition will hit a wall eventually, but no - he's actually kicked it up a notch.

Why don't they just trade him?!

Pooor Richie. He needs to be in a 6-man rotation and IN THE NATIONAL LEAGUE. (I will forever maintain that he should be in the NL, haha)

Also... there's a rumor that Texas is interested in Franceour. I'd trade Jeff in a heartbeat for Rich (even if it would be for selfish reasons!)

lol, I was all over this possibility for 5 seconds! But alas, it was not to be. Probably for the best, since otherwise, we would have spent every weekend for the rest of the year either on the road to NY, or on the road to wherever NYM were playing.

Right? You know he cleared waivers.

Not that you're biased or anything? But yes, all the former A's should be in the National League, where they actually WIN GAMES. (Even Zito wins, occasionally!)

Heh, I probably shouldn't say this, but me too. They are pretty much the only reason I post sometimes :P There are still about 5 or 6 that are not quite right, but one day, I will have 132 little pieces of perfection.

Wilson reminds me too much of Zito, so any thought of liking him is an non-starter. And speaking of starting, while it is true that he has good results because he has done nicely in certain areas, not all his secondary numbers are rock-solid. At some point he will revert to his average and will get hit around correspondingly. Maybe it will even happen during the playoffs!

I strongly condemned the A's for putting Richie in the bullpen in 2007, but now in 2010 and after all he's gone through this season, that might not be such a terrible move, getting hit last night notwithstanding. As long as he stays healthy -- that is what needs to be focused on.
