Good morning, campers.

It's Thursday! A day which will hopefully bring more Jim/Karen into my life, because I like watching all the Jim/Pam shippers turn that color they turn when Jim smiles at SOMEONE NOT PAM ZOMG. Heh. More seriously, I'm really tired of Jim/Pam shippers calling Karen a slut and a whore because she - gasp! - wears lipstick and apparently combs her ( Read more... )

I'd say the Mets have to worry as much about Billy Wagner as the starters. Seriously, he seems to not be up to these "big game" situations.

Augh an Astros broadcast. That will probably be the least exciting CG 10-inning shutout that any Cardinals fan will have to listen to, if Milo and whoeverthehell are calling the game. xP

I'm guessing Jim/Pam is The Office equivilant of Ross/Rachel from Friends? So I will yayyyyyyyy with you because I never ever ever liked Ross/Rachel. Or I could be completely wrong. :(

So Hudson wants Mulder to go back but Zito's leaving? Well, that's not a very nice thing to say/hope for. Shame on you, Tim Hudson. :P

HAVE FUN ON YOUR BREAK. PARTY HARD! :D

I KNOW. It's like even if they take a lead into the ninth, they don't know if they're making it out alive. I ask again, what is with closers all at once? Or maybe this is normal, and I've just been spoiled by years of watching Mariano Rivera preform much more smoothly under pressure.

LOL, probably. At one point in the game they start talking about the history of Busch Stadium. I'm like...really? During a 1-0 game?

Well I never watched Friends so I can't compare the dynamic for you, but you can still yay with me :)

I dunno, Beane already got rid of the headcase once, I don't think he'd wanna do it again. That would be a little weird though.

Realistically speaking, I don't see it happening, not least of all because why should anyone want to do the inevitable but protracted song and dance where everyone knows he'll end up leaving after the year to pursue big FA money? They just got through doing it with Zito.

Still, it would be funny, and it's nice to dream ^_~

lol @ "the headcase".

What gets me is how venomous and downright bratty the reaction has been from some. It's not just that they dislike the pairing, they passionately hate Karen. Just for existing. It's not like she's even done anything!

I have this half-baked theory that part of it is that so many female viewers saw themselves in Pam with all her frumpy-yet-cute girl-next-doorness, whereas people look at Karen and she's all Tan and TV-Pretty, so they feel all incensed that Jim might like her at all.

And apparently that's enough for true Jam fans to want me dead for being a traitor. *rolls eyes* Whatever.

Ugh, seriously. It blows my mind that more people can't see that this is doesn't necessarily mean the END OF JIM AND PAM FOREVER. I mean, I've seen some intelligent comments on the matter from some Jam fans, so I know some people get it.

But yeah, bring on our show! ^_^

I was also excited to see John Maine pitch so well last night! I was nervous in the first inning, but he pulled it out and stayed on top. I didn't stay up for the end of the game, indeed, I was only up because I had to work on my Britain paper, which still isn't finished.

Now though, I wouldn't care if the Mets lost. If they won, then I'd be conflicted for the World Series, as I would really want to see Maine pitch well for that. The truth is though, he's not that great a pitcher. It'd be hard to see him fail miserably on a stage that big.

Yes! The first inning was quite something. It was exciting to watch him work himself out of that. Did you see the strikeout of Pujols? I was so stoked!

**laughs** Is it finished now?

Thankfully, we've been spared.

Okay, I'm not the "someone" you uploaded the first game for, but I'm in the same boat as that individual, so THANK YOU! I really can't thank you enough. How do you find time to do all that work? :-?

I can't understand why these stories about Mulder going back to Oakland. Beane will never go for him.

Like you, glad that Urban defended Macha, though I think the writing could have been a little more inspired. I don't doubt that there was a communication problem with the players, but I'm almost sure that failure to follow Billy's every dictate is what got him fired.

You're quite welcome!

**laughs** I am a bad law student? I don't know; it doesn't take very long. The games rip from the source, not as I'm playing it, so a game that's just over three hours long rips in about 40 minutes. Uploading the games to sendspace takes an hour and a half. But I can do other stuff while the games are being ripped and uploaded, so it's not like it's very time-consuming for me personally.

but I'm almost sure that failure to follow Billy's every dictate is what got him fired.

I get that sense too, since some of the guys have brought up issues that that went on for longer than this year. Can you tell me about Ron Washington? Just looking around LJ, he seems to be the fan favorite to replace Macha, but would he be enough of a yes man for Beane?

*lol* Bad law students with proven ability to multitask still get jobs, right? :-D That's still a substantial amount of time you spend to bring joy to other people. You're too generous. *thanks ( ... )

**laughs** I suppose we'll find out!

But I don't mind doing it at all; you're welcome :)

It's great to read your thoughts on the matter; I'm very interested now to see how it all plays out. (And I clearly need to get around to reading Moneyball this offseason!)
