Stopped by the library this morning to pick up The Children of Men, right? Turns out there's ONE copy in the entire Baltimore County Public Library system. And it's in Towson. So they're sending it over to my branch, which means it's just me and the The Unconsoled for a few more days.

Someone's always making an offer for Tejada, right? I hope he doesn't leave because Becc still loves him. Although yeah, interesting possibilities if Adam went to another team...

So they keep telling me. And yet he's STILL HERE.

Brandon? In my personal opinion, I think he pitched well. I was happy to be in Galveston for that start (Galveston being his home town), but I would have been happier had he been in for more than 4 innings. And I thought we were gonna go all Braves v. Cardinals on the Mets with that three-run first. Oh well. And the Backe-crush was totally renewed.
Re: our offense. I dunno what the hell was going on. It was like the 2005 post-season all over again, where you're scratching your head and saying "well...Brad hasn't gotten a hit in awhile, maybe he's due?" and then you get guys on and just give up, even with less than two outs, because three guys actually hitting in one inning? Impossible.
But today's game was nice. Pitchers! Dear God, I love my Oswalt.

I HEARD IT ON THE RADIO AGAIN TODAY. That he's at the top of the Astros wishlist, or something. BOO.

Well, sure. Bullpen stepped up though, and hopefully he'll be back to himself in no time at all.
I'm glad the Backe-crush rolls along at full steam, lol.

Ugh, yeah, I know how that goes. It's just the most stifling feeling. And it must be that much worse for you guys; at least with the Orioles, I'd know early on in the season that it wouldn't matter if they stopped hitting or not, they'd never be in any kind of position to contend.
Dear God, I love my Oswalt.
As well you should!
