know what prompted it?

When did Loaiza go out speeding around drunk? Huston seems to like his milk well enough. Sorry if that's been posted before.

I forgot about the Loaiza DUI! That happened a month ago today, actually. So I think you're right.

Huston seems to like his milk well enough.

LOL. I hadn't seen it before; thanks for the linkage. Nice try, Street. But I'm so onto you and your substance abuse problems.

Swish will be fun at first if you're sitting over there. Cheer loudly for him and he actually pays attention. lol. And I'm not the kind of person who does that at ALL, but having Swish out in left field has been an absolute riot. A few games ago, some guy up in Left Field was doing some heckling...have NO IDEA what he said, but all of a sudden between pitches, Swish turns around, points at him and just busts up laughing. No idea what he said, but Swish liked it. LOL ( ... )

I'm beginning to wonder again if a DL stint would do Chavvy some good.

I agree that if he comes back feeling better, it would be worth losing him for a couple of weeks. His condition just sounds pretty painful right now, and I gotta tell you, I don't have much faith in the A's "wait and see how it plays out" approach to injuries :/

Yeah, I definitely agree with that. Chavvy is valuable for the team, so they're afraid to lose him, but he's more valuable healthy than he is injured. Plus...he hasn't played since, what? Sunday? the 9th? So if they DL him now they can make it retroactive to July 10th....and then he's already a third of the way through.

I hadn't. I looks like a cheesy rollicking rump of a movie. Should be awesome!

Though did Stan Lee name that character or what?

lol, it looks fun. Not quite The Transporter level of fun, but fun nonetheless.

Stan doesn't have the monopoly on the alliteration trick! :P

Do you know anything about how to get from DC to Camden Yards without a car? (Which would include getting back from OPCY as well.

I was gonna suggest the MARC train, but apparently the service to the Camden Yards stop ends at 1pm. Which is weird. Looking at this, for the evening games, I guess one could take the MARC train down from Union Station to Penn Station, and then grab the light rail from Penn Station to OPCY. To get back to DC, it looks like you can take the 701 "express bus" right from Camden Yards back to Union Station.

i used to take the marc to camden for games. and then there's a bus back to union station that leaves like fifteen minutes after the last out. if that is no longer available (maybe sooper-secret nats conspiracy to keep baseball fans in the district), then lame.

lol, Sasha, I can promise you, there will be no squeezing of Nick Swisher's ass happening next week. At least, not by me :P

I feel sorry for DJ, too, but from what I've seen he has been inconsistent, and if Bradley is healthy, it really is the best thing for the team.
